Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1
    Nairobi → Naro Moru Gate → Met Station
    Drive to Naro Moru gate and trek through the bamboo zone to the Met Station at 3,050m. 3–4 hours walking.
  2. Day 2
    Met Station → Mackinder's Camp
    Climb the Teleki Valley and the Vertical Bog to Mackinder's Camp at 4,200m. 6–7 hours walking.
  3. Day 3
    Summit Point Lenana → descend → Nairobi
    Pre-dawn summit of Point Lenana, then descend all the way to the gate and transfer to Nairobi.
